I am an economic education and development researcher; producing research related to innovative teaching techniques, institutions, conflict, and history of economic thought.
Award-Winning Instructor
I teach economic development, comparative economic systems, principles of micro and macro, and survey of economics. While teaching these classes I was named UNCW's Lecturer of the Year for 2026. As a graduate student, I won FSU's Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award as one of the top six graduate student teachers at Florida State University, the Charles E. Rockwood Award as the best graduate student teacher in FSU's Economics Department, and was a runner-up for the Office of Distance Learning Excellence in Online Teaching Award for best Online Instructor.
